If Intel's plans for future Ultrabooks come to fruition, Duracell may have a problem on its hands. DigiTimes is reporting that the processor giant is looking to infuse its Ultrabooks and smartphones with its in-house wireless charging technology beginning in 2013:
Intel's wireless charging solution uses an ultrabook as the power source paired with related software and a transmitter to wirelessly charge a smartphone. According to Intel's data, the solution will feature lower power consumption and does not require the phone to be put in a very specific position. If the technology allows Intel-powered Ultrabooks to wirelessly charge any smartphone, or any smartphone that rocks some sort of special case, then great. If not, we recommend everyone pick up a Mophie Juice Pack.
